Four Canyon High School students will compete at the Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) conference after advancing in early childhood education and interior design categories.

This year's wrestling season ended with much to celebrate from a 5A state champion, eight additional state medalists and 31 state qualifiers. It's no wonder that the sport is gaining momentum and garnering headlines.

All five Comal ISD high schools were represented this year at the state level in swim with a total of 33 athletes advancing to either the 4A or 5A meet, and athletes from Davenport High School brought home bronze medals in the 200-freestyle relay and the 500 freestyle.

This year's UIL State Champion in documentary film is an 11th-grade student from Canyon High School who showcased wrestling in his award-winning entry titled "The Other Sport." Not bad for a first-time filmmaker.

Two students represented Comal ISD during a week-long student leadership program at the United States Air Force Academy. They were among only 10 students from around the nation selected.

This year's annual Reflections ceremony featured performances by four students including a music composer, a poet, a dancer and a pianist. The Comal ISD Council of PTAs hosted the annual event which honored student artists.

Students and staff members at Danville Middle School and Davenport High School shared their creativity recently through Big Art Day activities. From obliterating an all-white room with colorful dots to designing their own Bot, everyone was engaged in art.

King Rey Feo 75 and his court stopped by Kinder Ranch Elementary to share a diamond-inspired message on the 75th anniversary of the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation. They have plans to visit 106 schools before Fiesta San Antonio begins in April.

The 2023 International DECA champion and junior at Pieper High School will defend his title at this year's competition in April. This makes the third year in a row that Holt Miller finds himself as a state finalist and international qualifier.

Nine Canyon High School students qualified for state competition in various business-related events as part of the Business Professional Association (BPA). They will represent Comal ISD in the 2024 BPA State Leadership Conference.
